The Univeristy of Louisville Athletic Association approved $55 million expansion of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium Thursday afternoon.
The project, which encloses the north end of the stadium, will include:

  1. 70 luxury boxes
  2. 10,000 new seats
  3. 12 ground level suites
  4. 1,000 club seats
  5. Expansion of Schnellenberger Complex by 40,000 square feet
  6. Expansion of strength and conditioning room, player lounge and meeting room
The expansion will increase capacity at PJCS, originally opened in 1998 and expanded in 2010, to approxiamely 65,000

Jurich is hoping to have it ready for 2018 Season. That's what he said a couple of weeks ago.

If it gets completed by the start of 2018 season, it's too bad that the Alabama game isn't @ our place, would've been a MASSIVE game to open the extension of PJCS.

And think about it this expansion will cost as much as the first 42,000 seats and facilities did.
