uk game now at 7PM

Moth keeps eluding to what happened between the staffs pre-game but won't elaborate. He just made a comment about the UK staff "trying to stir the pot before the game" and ended his comment right there without any further elaboration. I have to wonder if he has been "muzzled". It's really strange. Why not come out and say specifically what the hell happened.

For the record I think Sean does a fantastic job.
When calling the game. The extracurriculars of this one was lacking to say the least. Most true announcers would have called bs. I mean, we have seen what douche moves the aholes to the east come up with. Not the first time and won't be the last. No class. At all.

Two things. I'm so tired of seeing pick off moves that go towards the plate that aren't called a balk. Total bs. Your foot moves forward and you throw to first? Balk. Second, what's up with the high leg kicks some of the cards have when batting? That's cool for softball but is garbage against upper 90's fastballs. If you're kicking towards 3rd and the pitch is on the outer corner you are screwed. Period. You think you are getting extra power from loading up with a leg kick? Amateur.
I think you need to brush up on your balk rules. I'm assuming you are talking about lefties. There is a 45 degree shooting out from the pitcher’s grounded left foot; if he is throwing to first, their right foot must land on the left side of that line. If they’re throwing home, that foot must land on the right side of the line. I agree that lefties get away with a lot. Andy Petitte made it a science.

Whoever decided to send Alex should be shitcanned. If he did that on his own he should be on the bench.
I think this is the case where Dan has to put the "no steal" sign on, if there is one. I have always heard that his players have the green light to steal, at least certain players do. I do agree that Dan firmly believes in there are a ton of ways to score from 3rd and putting that extra pressure on both pitcher and catcher when our runners get to 3rd. How many times have we seen this year, opposing players reach the next base on either a wild pitch or passed ball. It was a bad decision that he was put out, whould have been a great decision if he made it, maybe...

Alicea was on his own. Mac was trying to defend his player after the game, but alluded to the haphazard effort Alicea gave getting there. Bottom line,be smarter. These are the plays that send you home in June.

The mental stuff is frustrating. Tyson has no business assuming the bunt he is taught make sure it gets down. Neighbors was put in to bunt and freaking whiffs on a ball right down the middle.

UK executes Louisville doesn’t. To bad pitching staff was really good tonight.
On the Tyson issue. Neighbors has to get the bunt down - period. The pitch is as there and he whiffed.

I want to give props to EKJ. I have been extremely tough on him. His approach at the plate is now as a batter and not a hacker. Last night he hit the ball where the ball was pitched and didn’t just try to hit the hell out of the ball. If he keeps this approach at the plate he will excel the rest of this season. Oh, welcome back Mr, Biven.

UK's coach is mouthy. He's recently gotten into it with A&M's coach and Ole Miss'. Being a dick is his thing, I guess.

Speaking of Ole Miss, I completely forgot Isaac Humphrey transferred there. He's playing well.

Ditto that. I'm happy to see him help us win these games before we back ourselves against a wall. Biven looked great, sporting a 93 mph sinker that had the Cats befuddled.

Don't look now but the pitching staff is growing up
I agree this is a young group that is learning how to pitch. It is going to be ugly at times but when they can throw strikes and mix it up they are pretty good.

Bevin has been awful but it isn’t because he doesn’t have good stuff. It is all related to not throwing strikes. His fastball has good movement and his slider is very good. He gets in trouble when he can’t throw his really good sliders for strikes which leads to him lower his spin rate or hanging his sliders. His B fastball has less movement. He is really good last night.

I was impressed with KY pitchers too.

I actually thought that King tried to do too much with the pitch in his second to last at bat, which resulted in a deep fly ball out.

Would absolutely love to see him take that “hit the ball where it is pitched” approach every at bat. He’d probably average .420 this year if he did that every at bat.

I’ll tell ya what…on a warmer night two of those fly outs are HRs.

Anyone who cannot get along with CDM must have some serious issues with behavior. Dan may be the most respected College Baseball coaches in America in both baseball as well as personnel relationships.

Sean Moth is simply the best in his discipline and it’s a credit to him and his profession that he did not elaborate beyond what he shared on the radio.
