What a fiasco down in Birmingham! Kudos to the players, students, alumni, and Birmingham citizens who rallied around the team and pressured the University of Alabama board to review their decision.
Now the question is, how many of those underclassmen on team dropped out of school because they no longer could afford school due to losing their scholarship? Does UAB allow those kids to regain admittance to the university and continue their football careers? Will UAB be able to play 12 games this season?
What a mess.
In the long run, UAB will probably get a new stadium and reinvigorated program due to all of this national attention, but the short run there are a lot of kids who got the screw job.
