If you guys haven't already heard the name(Rutherford, Evan Daniels, ect have since jumped on the bandwagon), remember it! I have coached him on and off since the 5th grade and he is a great kid and a special basketball player. I really hope CRP and staff have put a lot of effort in to getting him in a Cardinal jersey. But if you haven't seen him play for Trinity yet, check him out the last month or so of the season in districts and regionals. Worth the price of admission!

OP, you don't have to come on here and pimp your son to a bunch of fans. If he is good I promise your post on an internet message board won't help him get anymore looks than what he is going to get.

Good luck to your son

Why do you post on here? Don't you have anything better to do? Why not hang out with the other sheep that follow Cal and leave us alone?

I'm a fan of college basketball, particularly in the state in which I reside.

One of the best features on rivals forums is the "ignore" feature. If you click it on my username there is a button that all you're required to do is click. After that I am gone forever, at least from your perspective.

I was just giving the op a hard time and meant no harm. I'm sure the kid is a heck of a ball player and him being from the state I root especially hard for him to succeed.

I know how to operate rivals, thanks for the support. You're just another Cal disciple so go where you are wanted, which isn't here.

Rooting for Kentucky makes me a Cal disciple? You make take the rivalry too serious, friend

LMAO what a clown. Just thought I'd give Cards fans a heads up at the cities next big time prospect. For those asking, he's a sophomore at Trinity and was named MVP of the King of the Bluegrass tournament over Christmas break. He needs no "pimping" and I'm sure he will get a UK offer as well by the time he's a senior. Glad you gave your input though.

Just giving you a hard time op. Care to post any video of the kid playing?

Don't respond to that SuCk fan. Like many it's the only way for him to get attention. Probably an out cast on their site.

Here's what you slapdicks will never understand. If there was a way for Louisville to secede from the state, 95% of us would vote to do so. Keep thinking that anyone cares what you have to say here slappy.

What does that have to do with anything? And why do you think I care?

What a surprise, another uk jerk posting on a Louisville board. You guys are obsessed. Take Boom Boom's suggestion and leave.
I've been posting here a decent time period. Sorry it bothers you, I really am. Just here for discussion. Would gladly share a brewski with any of you.

First you insult the op and his post and then when you find out sUcK is interested in him so you back off. I would rather you stay off our site but you're here and the only thing I can do is ignore you in the future. I have seen Johnson play and I really hope CRP goes after him hard. I love keeping the really talented local kids like Johnson at home.

I said before op responded that I was kidding. Well before I knew Kentucky was interested in him, which we are taking his word for. I'm sorry it bothers you that I post here. It's just a rivalry between two successful basketball programs. Don't let it control you.

You don't have to take my word for it. A Twitter search of exactly the thread title would let you know everything you need to.

I love when Louisville has homegrown kids stay and play here, I'll definitely pay closer attention to him.

OP since you've followed him for years, what do you see as his strengths/weaknesses?

Would he fit in with our program - meaning - how's his D and desire to play it? :)

Or is he a better fit for our program and just let his man go right by him hoping a teammate would pick him up (they won't)

His best strength is his character. It's Siva caliber. He's just a special kid. Gym rat who has always worked very hard. Very coachable, not spoiled rotten like most of these kids nowadays. Has no issues sitting down and playing "D", has great length to help him do that. Would fit in our program and buy in from day one. He's also the big 6'4 elusive point guard that Pitino can't land(for whatever reason) on the recruiting trail. He's a true point but his jump shot has improved dramatically over the past couple seasons. He also rebounds really well for a guard due to his size. I'd say his lone weakness since I've been coaching him is he sometimes passes a little too much(can that really be a weakness?). Like I mentioned earlier, if you haven't seen Trinity play this year, the last month of the season would be a good time. Kid is the real deal.

Per Jody Demling, Dave and Jay Scrubb(junior forward at Trinity) were both on unofficial's to the Yum to watch the Cards beat NC State yesterday.
