Having lived in the southeast part of nashville for the past 10 years until moving back up here in May, this is the route through town I am going: take I65 south till the old hickory east exit in brentwood. Take old hickory across nolensville pike. It turns into Bell Road. You can catch I24 east at hickory hollow and bypass the huge pile up downtown if you take 24 down there. Most of the traffic will be coming in not going out in brentwood and antioch late in the afternoon. That's what I am going to do anyway. What ever slowdown you have this way will beat the hale out of sitting in that mess downtown.

Thanks Dan.

Holiday Friday. 10k-12k extra cars out of the Ville.

I'm compiling contingencies from Bowling Green on. I enjoy getting off the Interstate and "seeing America". And of late, it's usually faster the IS.

Some others to keep in mind are 231/31E, 52, 109, and 840

Edit:
Dan, are you messing with us?East Old Hickory south of Goodlettesville will get ya there but it looks like a lot of turns. Still better than sitting in a parking lot on the IS.

You have to drive all the way through Nville to get to Brentwood and Old Hickory Blvd.
