Tough week for the "NBA to Louisville" crowd .... NBA showed their hand.

The odds that the NBA puts a franchise (or relocates one) here got a lot longer this week.

It is clear that the NBA -- it's owners and players -- are motivated by the almighty dollar first and foremost.

Smacking down the Houston Rockets executive who tweeted support for the pro-democracy citizens of Hong Kong, over fear of losing out on the $1.5 Billion dollar streaming TV contract the NBA has with the government of China, I think it is safe to say that Mexico City has moved pretty far ahead of any shot the city of Louisville has at landing a team. It is a HUGE market, and taps another country. Brutally tough to compete with that.

Las Vegas
Mexico City

And Vegas may be behind Mexico City. But they'd be way ahead of us.
