Aimee Plumb leads the team with 16 points (5G, 6A). She is tied among Louisville's goal scorers with Julie Kouijzer and Katie Schneider with five apiece. Talk about clutch, four of Plumb's five goals have stood as game winners. She stands second in the ACC in game-winning goals. Plumb was recently named to the NFHCA Collegiate Watch List.

The Blue Devils are coached by Pam Bustin, who is in her tenth season at Duke. Prior to that, Bustin spent 13 seasons (1998-2010) as Louisville's head coach. Justine Sowry served as an assistant under Bustin at UofL from 1998-2002. She replaced Bustin after the 2010 season.

Virginia Tech is 9-8 on the season and 2-4 in the ACC, 2-2 on the road. The Hokies have lost 3 in a row, their last win coming in a 3-0 sweep over BC on Sept 30 in Blacksburg.
