Emmert's words made it seem that way, so I really don't think all of the coaches are worrying to much about anything unless they've done something illegal in the law system, not the NCAA system.

I think it will come down to two categories of involvement. There will be a group of schools who have coaches and/or staff members who are found to be guilty of arranging for payments to players. These are the Schools that the fbi have hard evidence on. This group of participants will likely be investigated and punished.

The other group will be the schools who have players who were paid via third party persons and seemingly without the participation or knowledge of the school itself. This will be a much larger group and these folks will likely skate. The NCAA isn’t staffed to handle this many cases. It currently takes them years to rule on this stuff. Now you’re talking about dozens of schools at the same time and this is basketball only!

The NCAA will turn there attention to re-writing their outdated rules and stamping out shady agents and AAU programs. Look for the mood of emmerts interviews to turn towards anger directed at those people taking advantage of young athletes. IMO

I’m in the heart of blue country and I can attest that “internet” UK fans hate UL because they love the drama behind it. The casual UK down here doesn’t care that much either way. I see a ton more duke and tenn hate where I’m from. The further from Louisville you get you seem to also run into the “good for the state” crowd. I live in southeastern ky but do all my business in Lexington/Louisville. I get a great view of the entire state.
