That was a great moment in college basketball. I was active duty Army overseas when that game was played. Never saw it live, but I still enjoy watching 'The shot' over and over again.

I remember exactly where I was. I was living in Charlotte watching the game in my living room. I was distraught that UK was going to win. Back then I had a fold up dinner tray with pizza and beer. When Laettner hit that shot I jump up and knocked everything over in the floor. My dog pounced on the pizza. It was a mess but I loved every bit of it!

I was with my wife and daughter at Cliftons Pizza on Frankfort Ave. l was not the only Card fan that openly cheered when the shot went in. Kind of felt bad for the UK fans that were there...for about 5 seconds. Actually think I enjoyed the UNC finish last Sunday just as much, considering there was no social media around during the Laettner era. Didn't OJ wear #32 also?

Why would Pitino want to wear warmups with the number of a guy that beat HIS TEAM. And also, why would he want to remind himself of him telling his guys to not guard the inbound pass?
