I thought this might be helpful to the discussions about Revenue that are ongoing. This is the total of the "Tickets + Contributions" only for the school year completed June 30 2017 (one year ago). The data is for the Publicly Funded Schools only who report such data. The data was taken from the USA Today data base. I went in and looked at the P5 schools only. I broke them down by conference. Remember there is no data for Private schools. The ACC of course has the fewest schools reporting due to there being more Private schools in the ACC than any other P5.

I grouped Ticket & Contributions together because they represent a sort of internally-generated revenue amount. (As opposed to "Media/Licensing" which is largely a Group Allocation from the Conference deals with the Media or Apparel Organizations). Tickets & Contributions come from fans, other ticket buyers and donors.

Two core revenue streams exist: 1. Tickets/Contributions and 2. Media/Licensing.

A third revenue stream, typically smaller, is Subsidy (from Students and Taxpayers).

I am only reporting Tickets/Contributions here.

Fifty-Two (52) of the 65 P5 schools are included in this list. The other 13 schools are all considered Private.

Among the 52 Public P5 schools, Louisville is #12 nationally in Tickets/Contributions Revenue. Louisville is #1 in the ACC. Only 8 schools nationally have significantly more Tickets/Contributions Revenue than Louisville (Texas A&M, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon, and LSU) .

It is the Tickets/Contributions Revenue at Louisville which is in jeopardy and could take a big big hit for the next 3 reporting years.

Media/Licensing Revenue at Louisville should continue to go up and up. This Revenue is largely comprised of the ACC-ESPN core contract disbursement from the ACC, plus the ACC Network revenue disbursement (which will come on line and bring revenue starting in 2 years), plus the Adidas-Louisville deal which will first show a revenue stream in the 2018-2019 year.
