participated in this practice.

Good for him. A 3* LB at Auburn may never see the field. K. State has great fans and would be a wonderful place to attend school and get a degree.

That said, if I was him and in love with the idea of playing for Auburn, I'd go Gray in a heart beat and not look back.

Some of these kids may need a refresher course and go rent the movie "Rudy." Maybe see what it could take if you are a marginal player.

Grinter went to SuCkS because Petrino would hold a scholly open for him, because he didnt
qualify in time.

SuCkS had used up their scholly limit. So instead of greyshirting at UofL, he

Auburn Did Not Offer The Greyshirt Two Days Before Signing Day

Find other instances of where a kid who had committed 9 months previously and shut down his visits was notified 2 days before signing day. The only other instances that I know of this year were Alabama and Utah. And in the case of Alabama, they let nearly all of their recruits know during the entire process that they may get greyshirted, which is why the only Alabama recruit that has ever complained about it was a kid named Reggie Philon (whose greyshirting was largely due to his not being academically qualified at the time anyway, similar to Lorenzo Mauldin at South Carolina).

schools keep recuriting kids rather they are commited or not. Basically it comes down to it being UofL asked the kid to Grey shirt. It's a situation that happens often and nothing is said.

+1. A snake can shed his skin, but at the end of the day he's still a snake. It would have made more sense for UL to greyshirt one of the prima-donna commits, rather than this kid who bled your colors. Just a bad move for your program, especially given the history with the head coach. This does not end well, and will only resolve itself after Petrino is blown out a year or two from now. Then UL will be able to wash its hands from the matter, but this will hurt recruiting.

Why would it have made more sense to grey shirt a kid who could help the team his first year?
