Thoughts on who could be the Contingency Plan?

Let us remember that all of these "opinions" about NBA draft status are just that, opinion. Up and until Donovan Mitchell hires an agent and he has a guaranteed draft position within the so called lottery then no decision will be made. I do not put any credence on any mock draft reports as they don't really know any more than you or I do about the upcoming draft. Just a lot of hot air.

They are usually spot on with the first round players. DM doesn't have to be a lottery pick. The consensus among just about every one doing mock drafts .He is a first rounder regardless of position on the draft board or court. With the exception of some fans that won't come to terms he is gone.

Don't come to a Louisville board and expect validation or tell me what to do. You stated you are a uk fan because that's what uk fans do. Most here can figure out you are a uk fan based upon your screen name.
If you read the sentence correctly you would understand why I said what I said. You are not comprehending it. But you felt the need to jump in and start throwing punches without actually reading what I posted. You saw me say "I'm a UK fan" and went off without reading the context of the comment. I don't expect you to admit it, so I'm done responding to you after this.
Have a great day.

I was hoping you would quit after the first post! See ya.

If Donovan Mitchell where to leave, and this point it is a HUGE if because he seems to be sliding down most mocks, I believe Coach P & staff will pursue a handful of grad transfers. Here are a few names to watch for:

* Marcus Keene (G) - Central Michigan **Has not stated whether he will return & transfer or stay in the draft**
- Led the nation in scoring last season at Central Michigan and would instantly become the most wanted player on the transfer market.
* Mark Alstork (G) - Wright State
- Averaged 19 points per game last season, and is a great three point shooter. Another guy who declared for the NBA draft but announced he will transfer if he doesn't stay in draft. Big time schools will pursue him.
* Elijah Brown (G) - New Mexico
- Another big time scorer who is leaving after a coaching change. Big time programs are pursuing him such as Oregon, Duke, Arizona, etc.

All three of these guys have proven they can fill the stat sheet at smaller schools, but I believe they would be great additions to the team here at Louisville. HOWEVER, I do expect Mitchell to return for next season.
Don't get the impression that the named possible graduate transfers are areal option for UL. As mentioned in another post, Dwayne Sutton is eligible next season, and his size would indicate he is a wing or a 2. His prior year stats indicate he is a good rebounder, and with the loss of some of our bigs, we will need to get bounds from another spot.

Totally agree with you my man.

He's gone can't blame him. Best of luck. This is college BB for now. Have to say I don't blame the players but this is getting old. Can't imagine life with a team of one and done. I would have to come up with another past time. Just not as fun as it use to be.
