1. Recruiting HS juniors/seniors seems to be almost devalued unless you are the Creme de la Creme; I suspect the days of 20-25 signees in the Early Signing Period are long gone. The Georgias, Ohio States and Alabamas of the world will always get their 5 stars...but the current changing and roster churn completely eradicates classes of three star talent. Star ratings might as well give way to Physically finished product or Developing product.

2. Spring Practice now serves two functions, the first being rotation determinations, but the second and most important...it's a Tryout Camp now and you are seeing that in technicolor in Colorado and it's pretty clear you are seeing it here too. Those who don't treat it that way just hamstrung their roster for 2023.

3. The Net experience of the garden variety First Team offensive and defensive depth charts in college football is going to inch north to levels we were probably used to in the early 2000s without Senior Days where you knew all the Seniors because they had been in the program for years.

4. For the record, this isn't as new a development as some are being led to believe. Look at College Football in the last seven to eight years where coming out of Spring Practice as a 2nd string QB equated to transfer.

5. Redshirts are pointless.
