The NCAA's punishment for the Brian Bowen scandal

Yeah, that's the only thing slappies can console themselves with, everyone goes down together. Of course, not everyone has a title and Final Four banners to lose...

The FBI investigation isn't even going back that far, I don't believe.

That's not the FBI, that would be US Attorneys, who have already said they aren't interested in kids or their families. So, I would bet pretty large that Bam never speaks to them or the NCAA either. He can afford a high priced lawyer now, they can't touch him.
I see your visits here haven't educated you any about what's going on.

And what you believe doesn't matter...

I'm not sure what you think I'm not educated in.
You've obviously learned nothing about what the FBI's authority and reach is in this case. Or you're just believing what someone in your shoes wants to believe...

I think it is safe to say if your program used a system that has been proven to break federal laws or NCAA rules for the last 10 years where your program has dominated that system as a fan you shouldn't be surprised when that shoe drops.

Nike, Cal, UK, middlemen, runners, and agents built this system. The system was built to protect the universities while lining the pockets everyone except the players. It was very smart. The exposure is pretty small 20-25 players out of thousands. The exchange of money doesn't involve the university. The problem only came to light because assistants wanted a piece of the pie.

Two things that the original designers never thought would happen happened. First the NCAA would ever figure it out and second the FBI would ever get involved. Both of those things are front and center.

I have no idea if UK's role in taking the Memphis model to a completely different level will be exposed or even if it is will it even matters to NCAA. Let's be clear we, even UK fans, know where this corrupt system originated.

Point of clarification Fair wasn't on tape talking about Bowen he was on tape concerning a 2019 prospect.

It's entirely possible that only one out of forty 5-star kids that Lite signed wanted money...

IF Bam took money, it was when NC State was after him.
What is it about slapd!cks that make you so dense?

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO GAVE A KID MONEY. The kid is ineligible once he takes it. You're screwed anyway.

Now, change the subject again. Please...

If the NCAA can prove it and if they choose to rule him ineligible because of it, our 17 season will be vacated. My response was more towards your inference that he wanted money to come to UK. I don't think I've seen anything that points to that having happened. I think it will drive you nuts if nothing ever comes out that we "bought" all these elite players.

I never said who gave BA money because as far as vacating wins and seasons, it doesn't matter. I couldn't care less whether Lite loses his job.

"Never" is a long time esp. when the Feds are on the trail. They take their sweet time.

The National Corrupt @$$holes @$$oscation got a gift several weeks ago when those in power said that UofL had already accepted an invite to the NIT in the event that they were not selected for March Madness...So why even consider inviting them to the dance when they've already been invited to another post season tournament...And already ACCEPTED that invitation...The UofL Administration HELPED the NCAA make their decision!!!

Technically, I think it was this Einstein who accepted an NIT invitation.
