Cards dont play Clemson again.
At NC St. They lost to Scar
BC. They just SuCk
At FSU. Cards can somewhat redeem the Clemson debacle. Only problem is FSU will be out for blood.
At WF. Will be tough. Cards will prevail.
VA. Lost to IU. Close games. Our turn to blow them out like Clemson did to UofL after 3 close games.
Cuse. Lost to middle tennessee. At home.
SuCkS. Cards 3-0 last 3 visits to crummywealth. They win.

I guess everybody is already counting uk as a win. I'm not convinced. We struggled with Duke, nc state, and Wake last year and this defense is worse than last year.
Youre woefully mistaken. UofL didnt struggle with NC st. They were up 44-0,
at the half. Won 54-13.
Struggled with Wake for 3 quarters. Scored 34 unanswered in the 4th quarter.

The OP is the kind of thinking that leads to the severest disappointments. There is actually nothing wrong with getting your hash handed to you. This is sports, not Affirmation Therapy. There is a realism that improves a team and one's life. Sometimes, lowering expectations plays a huge role in that.
I honestly could not say either way about our future. This will depend on the players attending to their deficiencies and the coaches correcting their own.

I'm not counting UK as a win at all. They beat us last year at home and are a better team early this season. If the game were this weekend UK would be favored and probably win. Johnson and Snell tore up a much better UofL defense last year.
UK has won a couple road games and are much more capable now than they were a few years ago. UofL is actually lucky that game is being played at the end of the year, and wasn't already played.

For the first time since the Johnson experiment began, UK has shown a thematic approach that actually works. Their O Line which was worrisome to them, seems to be gelling and Gran is a terrific play caller. Plus, their defense got the job done without Jones, which will fill them up with some pride. Snell is the real deal. I suspect we will need an excellent game to beat them.
It's week 3 and the best thing we can hope for is a NY6 bowl, which means we would have to run the table and that is NOT happening. That's why it's upsetting/frustrating.

Yet still managed to win it all.
The Cards have no excuses NOT to make a BcS bowl this year, or win 10 games.
I vote 10-2 or 11-1. A loss at FSU (even with their 2nd string qb) is very possible. We should be fine with the rest of the schedule. We get a pretty good bowl game and I'm already counting on a rematch of Alabama and Clemson.
PS: A lot of "repair" will be effected in these next two games and we will be ready for the Thursday night game versus NCST.
