Odds are they wont get out of the 1st weekend, but SuCkS is so basketball lucky.

Then 11-12 Vandy.
They finish against 12-10 TA&M.

That schedule is just unbelievable.

Most of their fans will be as high as a kite after that run, thinking Cal has righted the ship and turned things around. A 7-1 finish is a 7-1 finish! They will call it momentum.

Just how do you polish that turd of a conference? I'm sure Jay Bilas and some of the other ESPiN cronies will build that rickety shack up into a mansion so they get at least 3 teams into the tournament. I see no sez teams making it thru the first weekend.

The analysts are blinded by RPI and SOS, that's where they live. The SEC has decent numbers for these stats. The SEC has hired consultants in the past whose purpose was to help with non-conference scheduling to manipulate the league's RPI numbers.

So we get to March and most of the SEC teams conveniently have an RPI under 100 due to playing more 115 RPI teams instead of 300s. Maybe you can argue every league should look into doing this, but the SEC is the only league I'm aware of that is actively trying to manipulate the numbers. The end result is a league whose RPI numbers suggest the teams are better than they actually are.

Those 13-10-ish records don't lie.

There is a lot of discussion about the rest of our schedule and yes we realize it is against poor teams and no we won't think we are world beaters if we win most of them. Many are predicting a 2nd round loss. So there is the opposite of wild optimism on our side. Understandable right?

I wouldn't count on it. If we don't turn it around SOON I wouldn't expect a tournament type turn around like that team had. Randle had heart I see none of that on our current squad. Hope I'm wrong
