Concur. I am freaking drained. I'll give Pitt credit. They never quit. A lot of teams would have. They did not.

This has got to be the weirdest season of all time. We have all these players that appear to have so much potential but they also struggle at some of the most fundamental things in the game of basketball. Layups? Close in shots? Put backs? Call it what you will but every player that plays any minutes are below average at finishing at the goal. It is the most frustrating thing about this team.

Winning is not the only thing that matters. Making mistakes and developing bad habits can prove costly in March.

All true, but learning those lessons from Pitino without feeling the sting of a loss is the road I prefer they travel. Lots of stuff happened last night which are good teaching fodder for coach. We have Pitt again later this month at their place. They'll be ready. We'll know if the kids learned from the first game or not when they play again.

Agree on all points, particularly about Artis. It appeared to me the front court was not moving into position to help the back court when they got trapped. With 3 defenders playing aggressively far extended from the basket we should have had some opportunities inside.
It happens, especially in basketball.
Especially a team that returned 1 starter and 7% (?) of its scoring.
The expectations for this team are to build for next year.
This team has blown big leads against Baylor, Purdue, and now Pitt.
They won 2 of 3. Winning...... is the only thing.
And, bet your bottom dollar Coach Pitino would rather them have a 5 point victory
than a 26 point one, coming into the duke game. No press clip reading.........
