What’s up guys! Sorry for the delay, been busting ass trying to sell out this camp for next weekend!
Spoke with some sources close to the Louisville program and here’s some notes for you guys about players on the current roster:
El Ellis - Really going to surprise some folks. Expectation is it will take him about 5-10 games to get adjusted to this level completely, but they said he’s handled the jump much, much better than most. After the first handful of games, they expect his fame to really start to round out. Was told that he has a burst that nobody else has and finishes EXTREMELY well at the rim for his size, but needs to get his outside shot to start falling.
Sam Williamson - Big time potential. He’s putting a lot of the weight on his shoulders as the leader of this team. He’s been looking great, and if he can become as consistent in games as he’s been in practice, he will turn the corner.
Matt Cross - Shoots the crap out of the ball, but more than a shooter. Has more wiggle than people expected.
Dre Davis - Shooting the ball well, more comfortable after a year in the system.
JJ Traynor - Has gotten much stronger, and has become a big time lob threat down low. Still has nice touch and is finishing very well at the rim.
Jarrod West - Been great in PnR. Heady point guard that’s done a good job of running the show.
Wiz - Progressing nicely. Will able to contribute more this season.
Malik Williams - Progressing great. Approaching 100%. One of the clear locker room leaders on the roster. Will know more once he’s 100%.
Noah Locke - Lights out shooter that will be able to do a lot as a secondary ball-handler/facilitator. Underrated ball-handler and passer.
Jae’Lyn Withers - The tone got very excited when talking about Withers. They said that he has a chance to be 1st team All-ACC if his mindset is right. He’s not going to be pigeonholed into the ‘5’ spot, but will have the freedom to grab the ball and go, pushing the break off of the glass. Very high expectations for Withers.
