will be the only starter next year from this year’s team. I think Mack is fed up with Nwora and his lack of intensity and focus defensively and on the glass.

Nwora had 12 rebounds tonight and is our leading rebounder this year. ???
His defense stunk and he had 2-3 untimely turnovers. Also, there was a huge offensive rebound by BC that occurred due to Nwora’s lack of effort on a blockout.

If Nwora is still around next year - you would be crazy to think he’s not a starter.
First of all anyone that thinks Nwora is currently an NBA player is losing their mind. Now, that's not to say someone couldn't get in his ear and convince him he is but it would be very bad advice. Nwora is still a very average defender, his foot speed is nothing special, his ball skills are horrendous. He does shoot it well but he has a very low "release point" on his shot, thus it will be susceptible to getting shoved down his throat a lot at the NBA level. I personally don't think he will ever be an NBA level player.

Now, back to the subject of next year's starting lineup. Here's the way I see it:

C - Aiden Igiehon
F - *see below
G- Sutton
G- Williamson
PG - David Johnson, Josh Nickelberry, or whoever else can play it

*There's one spot left for Nwora and it's not going to be handed to him due to seniority. Mack can choose to go big (Enoch, Williams, or one of the incoming players), or he can go small (Nwora or one of the freshman). I realize that Nwora went for 13 pts, 12 boards last night but look a little deeper. His intensity is garbage, his defense is average, and Mack wants toughness.

Did you see the video of Mack with Luke Murray last night toward the end of the game? That's his opinion of his team (called them f'n pu--ies) and he's spot on. When the new guys get here the gloves will come off and we'll really see who wants a spot. Mack's hands are tied right now due to having no depth. As CRP once said "the greatest motivator is a good bench" and he was correct.

Honestly, if I'm Mack I'm sending one or two assistants out on the road full-time (if permissible right now) and telling them not bother trying to make the games. Personally, I think we will have a few more spots open up due to kids transferring out (VJ and/or Perry). We need to consider another possible grad transfer or a JUCO kid for next season.

The off season will tell the story and reveal who wants it. It will be boot camp. I'm not convinced that's Nwora's cup of tea.

Sutton is a senior. He is done after this year.

Just glad you’re not Mack. You don’t have a clue..

How so? Let's hear your take. If I don't "have a clue" explain why and concerning what? Concerning Nwora (who is nothing more than a good college player on a very average college team)? My take on Nwora's pro chances? The lineup? You just throw one statement out but don't lay out your vision of next year to be critiqued? Lazy response!

Also, if you think for a second that Mack is satisfied with one kid on our roster (other than Sutton - who he loves) you are sadly mistaken. He told it all last night when caught on camera talking to Luke Murray - F'N PU--IES). Mack didn't come here to finish in the middle of the pack of the ACC. He came to win the ACC and compete for National Championships and I'm confident he'll do both.

Not according to this site. The roster here says he is a senior, and that is what I was going by.
Sutton is a REDSHIRT JUNIOR. Common knowledge. I suggest you try a better website for your data maybe gocards.com which is the official website of UofL athletics.

There really isn't a need to scream. I only explained why I posted what I posted. I'm glad he's a junior. His leadership will seriously help the youngsters coming in.

I agree with you on some of this however my original statement stands. If Nwora’s still around (didn’t say off to the NBA) you are crazy to think that he won’t be in the starting lineup.

I agree with this. Nwora will be in the starting lineup IF he is still in school. He might try to go pro even though we all figure he's not anywhere near ready for that step.

Yes, and that too is common knowledge.
I guess that’s why I don’t like golf or tennis. Not into sensitive etiquette stuff, so I’ll do what I do. In the meantime - maybe you need to thicken that skin up and find an accurate website for your data. You call yourself a fan and you thought Sutton was a Senior? Very telling.

The 4 out lineups that Coach Mack Desires will throw off everyones thinking.

He'll probably start

Enoch or Hulk
Nwora
Sutton
Williamson
Take your pick at the point.

Id rather see a Traditional lineup of

Enoch
Hulk
Nwora
Sutton
Pick your point.

I know that lineup has Samuel coming off the bench.

I guess it does. Good to know I have your blessing and guidance on how to be a fan. I'll try to do better in the future. When they get beat again, I'll come on here and join you in acting like an ass over something neither of us can change. Thanks. Can't wait.

Academic wise , he is a Senior.
This is his 4th yr of higher education.
Dont know his credits.
Basketball wise,he is a Redshirt Junior.

Calm down Creek.

Despite beating Carolina in the Dean Dome and possibly getting a 3, or 4 seed, it was evident and no suprise that this team has faltered down at the end of the Season.
This team isnt tough enough.

The influx of Freshmen will either toughen them up, or they get left behind handing out towels and Gatorade.

Kerry, no one’s talking academics and credit hours on this site. C’mon!

Yeah, especially when the poster is not qualified to talk academics...
Believe what you want, I can and am qualified to talk academics. I’d love to match transcripts with you, if you have one.

Secondly, you never answered my question above on your lazy take about next year’s lineup, etc.

I am enjoying this season just like life, not thinking to next year yet. Besides your POV is to bench or ship everyone off who doesn’t meet “your” expectations.

Mine & Mack’s. You have fun with participation trophies. Still have yours from your YMCA glory days?

It's 95% that Nwora AND Enoch are gone next year. It has little or nothing to do with the NBA. They both likely think their pro stock is as high as it's gonna get. Nwora was judged to be one of the best players in the ACC a month ago, and I'd be surprised if he wasn't already in contact--indirectly--with pro agents, scouts, etc. Enoch has an NBA body and is four years out of high school.

Quite honestly, I'm not sure you want these guys back anyway. They appear to be more of a problem from a chemistry standpoint than they are a benefit otherwise. The last thing you want is them polluting incoming guys...

BS

Humorous how fans believe no one's leaving early until they're out the door. Then, the denial is replaced with anger and spite. Made even more humorous because no one learns by experience...

I’d rather both stay but they’ll be no anger. I’ve expressed my opinion about Adel & Spalding leaving last year but I wouldn’t call it anger. I have simply stated that I think both screwed up and would have benefited with another season.

What’s humorous is you pulling 95% out of your rear end on Enoch & Nwora when you have no clue what either will do. If I were a betting man I’d take the opposite all day long. At worst, one is not back. Both being gone? I’d say 95% that doesn’t happen.

A bet?

What a good idea! :)

That was two losses ago, although Enoch likely thinks he's improved himself!

More of a recruiting issue.

But the key is getting "clean" kids and winning with them. He's done a good job, but for whatever reason, Mack has lost this team...

And, from his comments after the BC game that he made from the bench during the game.....this team has lost MACK's respect too. JMO.

It may hurt, but sometimes you just have to say it. The bigs shy away from banging, guards are 3 Happy and few try to meet the ball. It sounds like something I might have said had I ever coached boys. My girls heard the term 'sissy' once. That was all it took. They became warriors.

The problem is that wasn't the story a month ago...
