Super Regional vs Miami

He didn't. Just explained why fist base ump made the call and not the home plate ump. Just mentioned un reviewable in passing
Fair or foul balls between home and 1st/3rd are not reviewable because they feel like there are two pairs of eyes on it. It's the home plate umpire's call but he can defer to the base umpire if necessary, but they believe they don't need to go to a camera review when it should be obvious to at least one of the umpires.

Well we proved that theory to be wrong today..

Little early on that…
No Bardman; despite the walks, HBPs and base running mistakes yesterday, we are playing at home with a great chance to advance to Omaha. That is only possible because this staff and these kids have rebounded from disappointing performances all season.

Can anyone say honestly, that after losing in the ACC Tournament they thought we would survive the Nashville Regional? How many times during the regular season have each of us posted about giving up on this team, or suggesting that Dan and Roger needed to leave?

Walks, HBPs, Wild Pitches, and yes, base running errors have been a part of this team off and on all season. Yet, somehow here we are one win from Omaha. I feel good about where we are right now, and looking forward to seeing UL baseball today!.

All will be forgiven IF we win today. Let's hope we won't have to revisit the events of yesterday.

Well, congrats to you for feeling good where we are now because I just don't see it. To me, this is looking like classic Louisville baseball disappointment.

I hope I'm wrong and the Cards shake off the giving away of the game yesterday. Baseball momentum is hard to reverse unless you have a few great players who take it on themselves to make it happen.

If Louisville gets down 2 to 0 early today, the doubt goes from creeping in to being the only thing the players are thinking about, and that can lead to pressing which leads to errors and bad at bats.

Louisville needs to get the early lead and put Miami back where they were before the costly baserunning blunder rescued them from being behind the momentum.

As Louisville fans, we've been here before. I'm trying to be positive and agree we are better than Miami, but Vandy fans knew they were better than Wright State. For some reason, everything changed for the worse for Louisville after that idiotic baserunning mistake.

Not a response to you Real…just taking some of what you said and adding my thoughts for 233. I am as happy as anyone, and as surprised as anyone, with what we are seeing from the team. Win or lose today I am proud of the team and the results of the season. Does that mean I think the staff waved some magic wand and righted the ship? No. I do not. Players executed better - period. Shen it came down to decision-making we on e again witnessed highly questionable calls. Snider is terrible as third - period. He has been bad for a long time. Williams - broadcasters fawning over him during the regionals is a joke. Our guys just pitched to their potential. Williams didn’t do squat. Tucker was upset about being pulled vs Vandy; yesterday, CDM/Williams (I guess) didn’t want to hurt his feelings and left him in the game and we saw what happened. The same thing would have happened vs Vandy. Then Starke - I get just getting out of that inning. Bringing him back in - so dumb. Do I need to go on? Oh, EKjr playing right field when our second best OF and out best OF arm is DHing. SMDH.

Rule "expert" on tv said it wasn't a reviewable play
Did they give a reason why it was non re-viewable.
FWIW:
All we hear is how “reviews” are meant to make things “right”.

IF…..this is true,

1. why is anything game related not reviewable?

2. Why is review only allowed in the last two minutes of Basketball? Why is a bad call there any “worse” than a bad call in the first two?

And 3. Why are so many calls that the talking heads, coaches, fans, and players see one way, seen differently “in New York”?

With all the inconsistency we’ve seen on reviews, I’m satisfied that All review does is make time for more commercials. ($$$$)

We might see a change today at 2nd. We might see a couple. Who knows?
I think Neighbors should be replaced. His confidence has to be shot right now. I'm sure he probably didn't get much sleep last night.

Still, if coach Mac would have made two different key decisions, the Cards may have won despite the baserunning mistake. Leaving Biven in after going to the mound and allowing Stark to pitch to Miami's top hitter who at that point, had struggled in the series.

Don't be surprised if he go deep again today.

Regarding Pike DHing … do we know he’s 100% healthy? I recall he came back from injury himself recently….

I tend to think that what went on with the pitching this year was more or less a season long experimentation. It’s not news to anyone who followed this team closely that we had a tremendous amount of turnover in the pitching staff, and Williams basically had to try as many different new pitchers as possible to determine which ones were ready to contribute here in the postseason.

We seem to have settled on about 7 pitchers who are prime time ready, which is about 2-3 short of what is ideal for a deep postseason run. Hence, you see us trying to give our next most promising (Starke as a great example).

I still can't get over that Kamau was halfway to third base and no one noticed that until he was thrown out.

If this is indeed the case,I would just as soon see Lippe if they're throwing a lefty today and save Pike for a possible pinch hit scenario against a righty.
