Super Regional vs Miami

I seldom if ever complain about the guys working the game but the guys in the booth today were terrible. It got to the point where I had to mute them completely and listen only to Sean. Jesus H Christmas, give me play by play and stats, that's all I need. Gawd, I guess these 2 clowns will be back on Saturday.

Getting out of those early jams shows the level of confidence on the part of this staff, and maturity from the rotation that was missing at times during the regular season.

Amazing how much Dan and Roger have learned so much about baseball 😉over this regular season. Seriously, I cannot believe how many times I questioned one, or the other when those regular season walks, HBPs and wild pitches were giving up unearned runs. Obviously their patience and their understanding of these kids is paying off now when it matters most!!! We are so fortunate to have CDM and Roger in our dugout.

Go Cards!

One of the guys doing the ESPN broadcast is Gabby Sanchez, a UM grad.

Don't like the look of this game now. It's unbelievable how one out can totally change both teams outlook.

Miami feels they've been rescued by such an idiotic mistake by their opponent. It's the break they needed and were hoping for. Then their opponent commits an error and a controversial call by the umpires goes their way, and they're no longer hoping but are confident.

Louisville on the other hand out of nowhere feels some doubt. Looks like it isn't going to be a breeze into the World Series after all. There's game pressure now and that's not good when you have a pitching staff who has control issues.

All because a baseruner is picked off at 2nd base with two outs and the bases loaded and it wasn't close. He was out by two feet. He had to run to 3rd he was so far off the base. For his sake, I hope Louisville wins because he's going to feel the worst he's ever felt playing baseball if the Cards lose.

Little early on that…

Mac should have pulled Biven when he went to the mound. Having the lead probably was the reason he didn't.

Great turn on the double play by Neighbors. Just the play the Cards needed to get some confidence back and push the doubt away.

Miami made the plays. Leaving Ty in there was an interesting choice.

The call on the foul ball is highly questionable but you can make the mistake as a pitcher to a good hitter.

It's so frustrating. Louisville was poised to be the first team in the World Series. Now they'll be lucky to even make it.

Baseball can be a cruel sport. How one baserunning mistake in the 4th inning can do so much harm.

Another sound decision to keep Starke in longer than 1 inning.
Pay me a tenth of Mac's salary and I can bring in a right hander to pitch there against that guy. I'm infuriated enough to walk out of the stadium. #%^&&$ one run down!!!!

There was no doubt. Louisville was going to lose after that egregious baserunning mistake. Then Coach Mac leaving Stark in against their top hitter put a lid on the defeat.

I have little confidence anything will change tomorrow.

That was mind numbing decision to go to Starke in the 1st place then to roll him back out for the 8th and then to their most dangerous hitter. Hard to explain or defend.

They weren’t even warming up a righty knowing they may get to him. The more you think it was a weird decision.

Starke made no sense @ that last homerun. I was fine till that. 99 out of 100 coaches in the country would have brought in a righty there.

Make it make any sense at all...

They didn’t even have a righty warming up. Even if they made a switch it would have been another lefty, I guess that is why the stuck with him.

What time game tomorrow??!
12:00. Several weird decisions.
-Leaving Tucker in the game after that mound meeting.
-Bringing in Starke - iffy. Leaving him in…? Why?
-Playing EKjr in RF over Pike. WTH??

-Ump’s strike zone was inconsistent
-That foul call along the first base line looked to be a very bad call (at least live).

That game was a tough one to swallow. There's no way you can get picked off at 2nd or any base for that matter with bases loaded.. I was sitting almost even with 1st base, that was a bad call. Why was it not reviewed ?

I think we are the better team but we've proven all year there's no guarantees with this team. We are our own worst enemy.. Hopefully we can put it back together tomorrow and move on to the World Series..

Like many, feel like this was a game we gave away. But in winning today I believe the Canes Coach brought all he fresh in the Mound table to throw today, simply because he needed to win. However, Coach Dan has a solid starter in Eberle in his back pocket. Along with several Bull Pen Arms. I believe this will be the difference for the Cards tomorrow. Cards will win going away, with a score of like 10 to 4, and move on to Omaha.

North Carolina also has gone down today, and not sure any Teams are going to be punching a tic to Omaha today?
