Am I right that 8 of the Supers will start Friday and 8 more on Saturday? It's been a minute 😅

One last encore @Patterson for the season we all thought had ended there.

I may have to get my morning walk in around 3rd and Central this week 🤔 🙃

That sounds correct. Just waiting for the official announcement and the start day.

I thought the Super Regional schedule was supposed to be up on the NC2A site by 9AM but nothing yet.

So bummed out, got stuck in a meeting at work this morning and tickets went on sale and were gone before I even knew it.

If anybody happens to have a couple extra please let me know.

Maybe UL could follow the “Clemson ploy”, and open up standing room only that included fans allowed to stand next to the visitor’s bullpen, and anywhere else there was any open space?

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I could not help myself after seeing the fans surrounding the WVU pitchers warming up resulting in a call for security.

I addressed that in another post. Those fans, most of whom appeared to be drunk students, should not have been permitted that close to the WVU players. The NCAA rep who showed up during the game and attempted to move them back was ignored. Clemson needs to face some consequences. Not a fan of WVU but the abuse the WVU players took in the bullpen was bs.

Fans can already lineup along the first and third base lines. This includes near the opposing team’s bullpen area. I have never witnessed UofL fans talking shit to the players though. Standing room only does make sense though. All along the top of both grandstands, along the baselines and extra out on the berm.

Oh, I have and several times. For me,just as long as you're keeping it light, I'm fine with it. The ones who take it too far are students who've had one too many brewskies. I was at a game back in April, 10-12 students sitting field level right next to the visiting dugout and enjoying themselves so much,I thought some of the visiting parents were going to duke it out with them.

There is a line.

Should be a good matchup. Miami offense is OK very similar with Vandy. A lot of guys under .300. Should be able to pick spots when and when not to throw to certain guys. They aren’t super aggressive on the bases.

Hard to say this because of how inconsistent the staff can be but I think they should hold this offense to 4-5 runs a game.

Miami isn’t great at anything statistically which means they find ways to keep games close.

Oh, I’m sure there have been instances. As a rule, I think our fans are fairly reasonable. And I agree, giving light-hearted crap to the other team is fine and can be fun - but there is a line as you stated.

Didn't Dominguez hit a walk off home run against Miami at Jim Patterson during a NC2A regional / super regional early in Mac's tenure?

2007 in the regional, he hit 2 homers against Miami I think but he had the walkoff base hit against Oklahoma St I believe at Patterson to send us to Omaha for the first time ever.

Checked out a few Cane sites this morning. Credit to their fans many have purchased tickets and arrived in Louisville yesterday-last night. A number posted photos of the sign in the airport that reads Welcome to Louisville Where Cardinals Fly or words to that effect. A number also posted pics from Churchill.
Most of the current threads and posts were regarding their Coach who apparently is a very unpopular guy, along with Dominguez also very unpopular. I guess that will change once the series kicks off but i just found that odd.
Also, there are a lot of positive comments regarding Forbes.

They showed out pretty good last season here too in the series. They're a proud bunch and for good reason.

We are gonna have to make them chase us early and often.

Again with these announcers apparently not being aware that these pitchers are not calling their own pitches. Dude questioned Forbes throwing a slider when we can all clearly see Forbes waiting to get the pitch call from the catcher.

Plus, doesn't the majority of college programs call the pitches from the dugout? I hate it, but it's become the norm. But almost every game on TV, the announcers appear not to know.

Oh, back to back dingers by the Cards.

2 zipp.

Rain starting in 20 minutes. Will they be able to get this one finished? Nope!!
