As you guys are aware, when Mangok is on the floor for us it's known as "Mangok time" because I mix a stiff one; fortunately for my kidneys and liver Mangok's time has diminished in the last month. My daughter has told everyone she's seen in the last twenty-four hours that I had this look on my face that was one part horror and a second part sheer delirium...and that I kept yelling "Mangok?!?...Mangok???" shaking my wife and son away from reruns of Lost upstairs.
But that shot was just as he described, all money; if you hadn't paid attention all year and just glanced at the highlights you'd have thought it was a standard pick-and-pop with one of the 200 European centers in the NBA who hit that shot at a free throw percentage. If it were up to me though...that's the last shot we see from Mangok outside of the lane this year I really am glad that he's the one that hit the shot, because you can see from the "bench" guys that Mangok is pretty popular with his teammates (Gill, Jalen Johnson and Mahmoud in particular).
My favorite shot of the night was ESPN hitting Tony Bennett with the camera view as he was calling a timeout; the guys that run our stats are pure pros so the look on the elderly gentleman's face with this combination of prolonged shriek and the look of the kid to his left of a baffled "I don't believe what I just saw" is priceless if you can rewind it.
