I didn't pay any attention to games last night, and I won't tonight either ... but I heard that Vandy was shown the door, leaving only 2 SEC teams in the big dance ... So I HAD to see how this was being taken on the Big Blue-ser board, since Vandy did beat them this year .. and I was not disappointed.

They would KILL to be in our position in the ACC. They'll never admit it, but being in a storied basketball conference, that has top level football, is where they want to be. And that's where we are. I believe that THIS is what fuels so much hate and angst from the Big Blue bellies like Matt Jones.
Anyway ... I enjoyed it ... and I bet you will too.

I may be at the point of hoping every SEC team loses every game they play from here on out. I'm sick of them only getting up for games against UK and then looking like a YMCA pickup team afterwards.

None. I really freaking hate them. I'm so sick of every other team pulling the same old shit every year since cal has gotten here. It is absolutely ridiculous. Play like you want to win every freaking game. I'm done with the sec. Only aTm gets my respect

A fitting end, to the abysmal season that was the SEC..outside of UK and AM. The SEC was pretty embarrassing this year, no way to even defend it. Preseason we had two dark horse final four teams in Vandy and LSU. Both teams crashed and burned, hard. But they at least got to beat UK at their gym, so their fans probably consider it a great year.
I reached my boiling point with the SEC, this year. I've snapped out of my SEC pride and the notion of what's good for the SEC is good for UK. I just do not care about this league and it's image, bc it's obvious that the other schools/fans do not. Fans, players, and coaches seem to only show up when they're playing UK. You'll see a guy go off for 30 pts and then lay goose eggs for 5 games after. You'll have teams look like the dream team against us, then drop several games to no bodies after. It's been the same song and dance and I'm just tired of it.
I went to my first road game this year, when we lost at Vandy. It was a great atmosphere and the players feed off of it. Checked out their next few games on TV, and it's an empty arena with no energy. It was pathetic to see. Why can't they just put a fraction of that energy into other games? Why just when UK comes to town? It would be such a better product if schools just put forth some type of effort. It's not like the SEC schools are hurting for money.
I don't expect SEC teams to all the sudden treat hoops like UK does. However, this is a power 5 conference with its own televised sports network, lets put forth some effort. I'm sick of playing none, maybe one if we're lucky, ranked teams. It kills us in the polls and hurts our seeding. I'm not asking for the league to become hoops crazed, football will always be tops, but please just put some effort in it. Just had to rant it out.
