Well, it's not that hard to believe that people are not into baseball in mid February while winter storms are happening. Now those fans who love baseball, which mostly means MLB, will be here to see how Louisville performed.
I'm a big baseball fan having played it for most of my teenage years, but I recognize today the game is just not very popular, not until the basketball season is over.
I mean here is opening day for Louisville and it's basically ignored by most of the local media. A big conference team tournament and there's basically no TV. The ACC network is not interested because it's not really baseball season.
How many people would actually watch? Not enough I'm afraid.
College baseball will continue to falter unless it moves the season up to mid March. Northern schools simply cannot compete in February and their fans know it so they don't bother caring like they should.
The status quo however doesn't hurt the southern schools so nothing changes.
