IT is. And they are not through by any means. They are going to make certain that they have the NIL to compete for the top of the ACC in both revenue sports. And there is bubbling talk that boosters want to make big donations to add another men's sports (which will require another women's sport as well - Title IX). Baseball was dropped because of Title IX, and many SMU people want it back. But other SMU people want to take their club lacrosse up to ACC lacrosse - SMU has D1 women's lacrosse. As TX is filled with top college baseball programs, and now there is no TX school playing D1 lacrosse, their best bang for buck in adding a new men's sport would be lacrosse.
