As of 8:30pm, things are actually going pretty well for the Cards as it relates to the CFP:

Neutral:
- We lost a bad game, but Jackson leading the team back will help redirect the narrative
- Ohio State won a bad game as well

Good:
- Big 12 is done with both Baylor and WVU losing
- Nebraska currently losing to Wisc
- Houston avoided a bad loss.
- UK won. Very possible they could end up finishing 2nd in SEC East.

Bad:
- Washington pulling it out against Utah almost certainly gets them spot #4 in first CFP

10:30 update:

Good:
- Nebraska goes down
- Boise goes down
- FSU/Clemson game very competitive

If nothing else, today is further proof that winning in college football is not easy, especially when you get into late October/early November. Teams are beaten up, there is lots of film to use for game-planning, tough to stay mentally engaged week in and week out.

FSU taking it to Clemson. It's gonna be chaos for the playoff committee

Neutral/Bad:
- Clemson beats FSU. Only sure fire way we make playoff is via ACC Championship, so that is basically gone now. The good thing is that loss to Clemson doesn't look any worse and our dismantling of FSU still registers as best performance of any team this season.

So all told, today was a pretty good day for UofL. 1st CFP rankings will be 1) Bama, 2) Clemson, 3) Michigan, 4) Washington, 5) Louisville. Really need Washington to lose.
