With this team. They can't seem to make winning plays at the end of games against good teams or fail to stop the other team from making those plays. I knew at halftime what was going to happen. I knew once Michigan got the lead with 7 minutes to go every loose ball, whistle and big play would go against the Cards. We have not had a player overcome it with dynamic offense down the stretch.

Pitino blames basketball IQ and he's right, but shouldn't these players be better at that at this late juncture in the season? But again, you're not going to win these kind of games with your PG going 0 for 9 shooting. Poor Q had his worse game of his career today and that is basically what cost the Cards the game.

Michigan appears to be a team of destiny in a sport that has had several before. I for one hope they play Oregon and get smashed but won't be surprised if they make the final 4. As for Louisville, hopefully everyone eligible to be back returns and along with a class of shooters the Cards will learn a lot from this season and that same old song and dance will be over.

Good luck Mangok!

Well, maybe just maybe. The Big Ten is as bad as everyone thought. Three in the sweet sixteen has to say something.

I blame Pitino for some of what you say. Time and again other teams seem to make adjustments and we don't. We continued to play same defense and gave up a career high plus 45 the second half. If everyone comes back we will still need a center next season for sure.

Good news - most everyone is coming back. Bad news - most everyone is coming back. Something was holding this team back from developing consistency and correcting mistakes. I'm not saying they were dysfunctional but it seemed we never got DM, Adel and Mitchell on the same page. Seems like maybe they were competing against each other instead of working together. Interesting to see what happens over the summer and next season.

You mean like when the Big10 got half the FF in 2015 and The only ACC team beat them both....

When you have DM and Mitchell not on the same page.......... I think you mean Q.

You are not alone in your thinking. My daughter and I had a text discussion on this after the game. Her opinion was that team chemistry changed when Q came back from the injury. Donovan had gotten used to running the show and seemingly proceeded to do so. Q hasn't been the same. He seemed lost today. I thought he may have been ill b/c that is not the Q we are used to.

I wonder if there will Pitino will use DM at point more next year. I really like Q but his lack of athleticism is an issue.

The failure to hit close shots, layups, dunks, and free throws cost us again. High Division I players should be able to do this in order to advance.

Good points. Yes I meant Q. I also wondered if Q felt like he wasn't really threatened or pushed for his playing time with Hicks getting hurt during the season.
