So at the beginning of the Saints game they introduce the starting lineup. Why did Teddy Bridgewater say he's from his high school and not University of Louisville??

Haven’t seen him introduced as a starter on a national NFL broadcast for several years, so I can’t say that I know one way or the other. But it’s pretty common to see players mention their hometown or high school, even though most do mention their college.

I’m not sure that it’s that big of a deal. Teddy is one of ours and his mother was her for the ND game. That’s a bigger deal than what occurred yesterday.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

A couple years ago one of the players said "Wakanda Tech" as his school. A shout out to Black Panther. I guess the issue for some people is that we wont see Teddy on for many SNF or MNF games and they wanted to hear him say Louisville. People dont need to freak out over it, not a big deal. He gave a national shout out to his HS, thats cool.

Yes, Twitter was definitely "abuzz" about him not saying University of Louisville. WAY overblown, IMHO. Many of the players give shout outs to their high schools. I'm sure that meant a lot to the Miami Northwestern program and fans. And BTW, that's not a bad thing for UofL recruiting, in the Miami area, to have a former player mention his high school. The Miami area recruits all know Teddy played at UofL.

Those are the stupid fans that do not watch football on a regular to see that players mention their high schools all the time SMH.

No kidding. A player giving his high school a shout out has been a thing since they started doing those player intros. I'm going to say it's been at least 25 years.

we should be more upset that his O-line is getting caught for holding continuously. in the last two games Teddy has had at least three 15+ yard scampers called back by holding and several down field throws. instead fo being first and ten they are first and twenty and they cannot recover. they don't want teddy throwing down field and get intercepted so they just keep throwing dink adn dunks all because the O-line keeps getting penalized. i'd say at least six total ocassions they had long gains and first downs turned into second and long and third and long. thankfully Rankins is back on D and they look strong. they only need teddy to be a game manager, not to win the game. just keep drives alive, don;t turn it over and play teh field position game.

What’s Twitter good for if not faux / manufactured outrage?

Really? I was one of the disappointed fans as that can have an impact on recruiting. Im well aware some players mention their HS. As for a fan that doesn’t watch FB well I’m from Pittsburgh and was watching FB long before I ever knew what BB was. Still do all the time. Its an opinion, doesn’t mean I think less of him.

I see nothing wrong with what Teddy did. As far as recruiting for U of L, TB has probably taken 2nd place to a recent Heisman Trophy winner. If you follow NFL football, you know the heroic story of Teddy’s gruesome and potential career ending injury and now being named as a starter again. You know the story of his mom. This is a non issue in my mind. Go Cards! Go Teddy!
