Cards may not be lighting it up but my second favorite team (whoever is playing the hayseeds) had a good day today. Can’t get that song out of my head - and I’m not talking “Shallow”.

Actually, this plays into SuCkS gameplan.

They cant get a number one seed in Louisville.

It will go to VA or Duke since the Committee will seed # 1 seeds closeth to their homes.
VA or duke will be ranked ahead of the cayuts.

SuCkS is going for the number 2 seed here in Louisville. Dont be surprised if they lost another before selection sunday.

They already said that kenSucky can't be a 2 seed in Louisville as it would give them an advantage over the 1 seed. So that's not the case.

Anything is possible but I don’t think they will get to Louisville with anything other than a 1 seed. I think the 1 seed would be irate if that occurs.

Really ?

Who said that ?

If so, they flubbed up.
Id say Pittsburgh feom 2004, WVU and KU from 2009, Duke last year. Other than actual teams saying it, Howie Lindsay did say it a couple of times last week.
The sEZ is weak. KenSucky needed to win that game. Now they will have to play both UT and lsWHO in the sEZ tournament instead of just one of them if they can win.

Lol, good call. My phones auto correct sucks. Here's what it should have said...

So Howie said it? Gotcha.

They have never kept Duke from playing in Greensboro or Charlotte...
This is not correct if you’re relating it to this year’s tourney bracket. Yes, Duke has played first and second round games in their home state as a #2 seed or less but never with the opportunity to play the #1 seed on their North Carolina soil in a regional final. I looked back at every bracket since 2009.

The difference is that the games being played at The Yum during the 2019 NCAA Tournament are 3rd & 4th round regional games to play into the Final Four. Therefore, the committee will not place the kitties in the Louisville regional as anything other than a #1 seed.

Since 2009 Duke (as a #2 seed or worse) has played in their home state in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 but they were always first and second round games not regional semis and finals.

I guess it’s still possible that the kitties could end up here (gag) but yesterday’s loss did not help their cause. For that reason I continue to root for Duke, UNC, Virginia, Gonzaga & Tennessee. I’m hopeful the SEC conference standings don’t change much. I find it hard to believe a team that could possibly finish third in their own conference could be a NCAA tourney #1 seed!

As of Sunday (3/3/19) I see the NCAA tourney #1 seeds like this:

West - Gonzaga
East - Duke
South - Tennessee
Midwest - Virginia

The only one I see possibly changing is the South. I see that regional’s #1 seed coming down to four teams (Tennessee, LSU, kitties or UNC). All depending on who stumps their toe, runs the table, wins a conference tourney, etc. The other regionals are locks IMO.

I remember being at the 1994 Final Four in Charlotte. Arkansas upset Duke who was thought to be a shoe in.
