Ironic how Rick rebuilt and left both programs

1. Uk was a wreck Rick built them back up and left the program in excellent shape to were they won a championship with his personal.

2. U of L was a wreck Rick rebuilt the brand had the program on very solid ground won a championship. Left the program in worst shape than both programs combined .

I just don't think our BB program will ever return to being great after this. And if the next AD is not all in on sports that will really hamper the BB program not being able to prosper. It's all about a AD paying top dollar to attract a great coach. Having to recruit from the bottom people just don't understand how damaging this was to this program. Look how long it took Rick to get us at this point and don't be fooled to think their is alot of coaches that could do what Rick did.

Our best run ever was in the 80s under Denny. So RP did not lead us to greater heights although he was close. We will be fine, this is a strong proud program that will rebound.

Denny Crum had 6 Final Fours and 2 NCs.

Pitino had half of those numbers...and those number may end up being "officially" ONE Final Four in 2005.

UofL has had just 4 head coaches in the last 77 years. Not many schools, if any, can say that. We may go through coaches like Klenex the next decade. Hope I'm wrong.

A co-worker of mine said something today that made me go hmmmmmm. She's a Cards fan and she reminded me that at several points over the years she had brought up the idea that RP came and in here to f&@k the cards. She has said that at different times throughout the various scandals we have been through. I don't for one minute think there is any plausibility to her statement but she just had a bad feeling from the get go. She could be a distant relative of the great Nastradamus.

Doesn't sound that far fetched, given how didn't even try to hide it. Almost like he knew about the wire taps. I'm sure he has contacts in Bureau. Why not go through underlings? Something's not adding up.

If you take John Dromo and Howard Stacey out Louisville has only had 3 coaches in 80 years. This program is better and stronger than what most of our fans on this board believe. My only concern is the fools that are left running the show, I don't have confidence in their decision making
