Remember when…

S. Carolina is an SEC state flagship school they seat 80k and they fill it up. They haven't done well since Spurrier but they aren't too far removed from having #1 HS players like Clowney and Lattimore. The game day experience there dwarfs Papa John's I've experienced both. They don't have a party deck and fans leaving after the 3rd Q. And again, while we may want to be annoyed by all things SEC, they are SEC.

It's a hair splitting comparison maybe but the main point is the dude doesn't want to be here it's pretty obvious.

Will support these players and the school but it just doesn't look like this guy is gonna be around all that long for one reason or another. Probably time to start paying close attention to other HC and coordinators status as the season progresses.
Agree

Somebody Name one (1) successful FB HC who’s wanted to be here?

We were a stepping stone when we were G5.

Now, with the expanding $EC possibly expanding more, many P5 schools will be stepping stones.

There is nothing to say we don’t continue to be.

I don’t like it, but I’ve done all I can do.

The announcer just made a good point about us being so young, only 12 seniors. Are we willing to be more patient?
That’s a little misleading I think - as most of those players are actually a year older than the class they’re classified as due to Covid. I’d be more willing to be patient if I felt like the “young guys” were ones that were ACC players - however it seems the staff is still recruiting at the App. St. level. Combine that with App St schemes and…

How patient will you be if this EKU win is the only one this year?

For example, there’s a kid on the roster (transfer) that is listed as a Fr - TE. Great young man - that my son, who is a college junior, went to HS with. Interestingly, he graduated a year before my son.

Aside from using his reputation as an “offensive genius“, that attracted several talented QBs; Bobby Petrino‘s disturbing personality turned off HS coaches, the parents of recruits and players alike. He did not like recruiting and he struggled with communicating with his own staffand players. Conversely, Satterfield is well-liked by all accounts; if he wants to remain here and be successful, he needs to address our recruiting immediately.
