Refund - Beating the Dead Horse

Does anyone know if it is possible to cancel the yearly membership in the middle of your membership and get a refund or partial refund? I believe I first signed up for this account in 2006. I come to these boards a couple times per day looking for some news and, as we have all been experiencing over the last few months, NOTHING. This is not what I signed up for. I feel like we all deserve a refund on this last year. If I order a pizza and do not get a pizza, I get a refund. If I order this service and do not get anything, should we not get a refund? I know I can cancel, but I assume that there is no chance of even a partial refund. Anyone have any info?
