What was with the ref explaining every time he didn't throw a flag for intentional grounding. It would just be a routing play the QB would throw the ball away clearly out of the pocket and the ref would always get on the microphone and say there is not flag for intentional grounding. Then there was the challenge that 5 minutes into it, it was determined that it was not a changeable play?

Nonetheless, we got a break on the call (although we still had to punt after the next play).

I'm convinced he must have thought we were all stupid because it was obvious what intentionally grounding is and is not except for the play lamar threw the ball out of bounds behind the los. Then he took 5 mins to review a flag (a nonrenewable play). Refs were not ready for the college game.

Im glad im not the only one then, it got quite annoying. Is this something the ACC has told them to do or what?

That was my initial reaction was that they weee instructed to do it, but then I realized I've never heard that in any of the other games. So I think it was his own decision to say it every time.

What drove me nuts was all the false starts that weren't called on Wake Forrest. The O-lineman on the left side was jumping on almost every single play before the ball was snapped. I was freaking out!!

Paul Rogers was mentioning that also and said Petrino was going off on the refs because of it.
