Auburn home games are simply amazing. Stadium is nearly twice the size of PJCS, with every seat filled thirty minutes before kick-off, and a giant tailgate crowd watching the game on TV in tents set up all around the stadium. They must have at least 150,000 in or around the stadium all day on game day. Really awesome.
I'm not sure what that says if you're just a one-sport school playing in a one-sport conference.

Throwing Kragthorpe's 3 years aside, Louisville has been to a bowl game every season since 1998. Won 2 BCS bowl games. Who doesn't reload?

Talking today to a co worker UK fan who I usually respect his football knowledge, I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.

The discussion was about the Auburn game and how the Cards had no chance and was facing a big boy from the SEC West. Now if that was as far as it went I wouldn't be posting this. After all, it's going to be a tall order for the Cards to win. However, being the UK fan my co worker is, he had to go farther in his reasons to convince me that the Cards had zero chance.

He said he thinks UK's roster is more talented than UofL's and he still thinks UK will finish 13th in the SEC. He just ignored me when I say the Cards have three former big time recruits transferring in. I told him at least two of those (Fields, Clemons ) would have started last season if they were eligible. When I told him I think this Cardinal team is better than last season he thought I was crazy. After losing Parker? After all those draft picks?

He thinks he knows more about my team than I do. Yet, he couldn't name one current Auburn player or any player they lost from last year.

We made a bet he giving me 10 points for $50. He said it won't be that close but wouldn't give me more points. He may be right about that game. But he's full of it to think UK had more talent than the Cards. I have lost some of the respect I had for his knowledge.

Believe it or not. Kentucky is adding more talent every year. That game at Commonwealth will be a war.

Petrinos record against top 25 teams is roughly .500 at 14-15. The only coaches with better records are the SEC stalwarts, Saban, Miles, Spurrier, and Urban Meyer. Petrino is in the second tier with Gary Patterson, Pinkel and Brian Kelly. I am not afraid of Auburn. And I think 10 points is a lot in this game. This isn't going to be a blowout.
