Quick Whistle

Once being a basketball official I wince at those who cast blame on the whistle blowers. Most of these guys are former athletes who have competitive natures trying their best to call a good game...a fair and objective game. So I for one think we should all hold our tongues when we are tempted to blame " homers" for a loss.
Second, of all the sports to officiate I found basketball to be the most difficult and demanding of all based upon the speed of the game.
Third, we watch these games from a birds eye view while the officials are hindered by their same level perception which is less than optimal for angles.
Finally what beat us tonight was poor help defense due to lazy feet.
After saying all that...I will take the Cards on a neutral court come March!
