What was the atmosphere like in Omaha? Any positive or negative interactions from fans of schools?

Attending the CWS has been a bucket list item for me since the mid-80s, long before we had a team that could rise to that level. I doubt if I ever go because the wife does not like baseball and normally will not watch it, no matter the stakes. I always found her dislike odd b/c she was a VG softball player in her day. On a positive note, she did watch a couple of Super Regional games this year.

Boone - I am with you. I’ve been wanting to go and this year I might have gone if I could have gotten my son, who is 32, to go but his work schedule wouldn’t allow it. I tried to tell my wife she could go shopping but she really isn’t a big shopper. She’ll go to games at Patterson but it’s too watch the people there not the game.

Omaha is on our bucket list too. Grandson needed us this year. But we are planning for next year because the Cards will be there in ‘20. Can’t wait for that big check off!

Already making plans for next year. I intend to buy baseball season tickets for first time next season.. Living in Cincinnati area I won't make many of the games but I can give tickets I don't use to friends and family in Louisville. That should make it easy to score good seats to Omaha.

I went this year and it was amazing. It had been on my bucket list and did not disappoint
-drove it, 10 and half hours or so
-Omaha is a nice city. Good infrastructure, easy to get around, nice parks, clean.
-The Old Market area had good restaurants, shops and bars. Within walking distance of the ballpark
-Ballpark was amazing. "not a bad seat" and good food and beer now available.
-I'm a baseball season ticket holder, got tickets through the school and they were excellent and reasonably priced.
-I stayed in Council Bluffs 3 miles from ballpark (due to hotel loyalty points) next to 2 casinos. Five minutes from everything.
-Lots of tailgating in the lots near the stadium, especially MSU, Fla St. fans.
-Will try to come whenever the Cards are in.
-I love baseball Cards and our coach.

Did you stay the entire time the Cards were playing? What else besides baseball and casinos did you do to spend the time? I heard they have an incredible zoo?

ulcards1, so you bought the whole pkg of tickets through UofL? I was looking around on web and found a website for CWS tickets buying and selling tickets and these tickets were guaranteed.

My thinking was one could pick and choose which games you wanted to attend besides the UofL game. Did you find it easy to sell any of your unwanted tickets?
