At 9-18, the Cards are currently 13th and only the top 12 make the ACC tournament. Fortunately for UofL, they host Florida State this weekend, which is 14th.

Just ahead of UofL is NC State at 10-16, Pitt at 10-15, Virginia Tech at 11-15, Georgia Tech at 12-15. NC State hosts Pitt this weekend. Virginia Tech is at Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech hosts Virginia.

Incredibly, UofL currently controls its own destiny, but by the narrowest of margins. If the Cards sweep the Seminoles, we are guaranteed a spot in the top 12, ahead of whichever team loses the Pitt versus NC State series.

The Cards can still make it in by taking two of three from FSU, but that would require an NC State or Pitt sweep, I’m unsure what would happen if we tied with Virginia Tech, who we did not play this year. Is the tiebreaker record against common conference opponents? Or coin flip?
