What a nice way to bounce back from this horrible week. Solid effort from start to finish on both ends of the floor.

Nice job guys!

Agree. Nice performance and team play for the Cards today. Liked the passing especially and that the bench guys made some good contributions.

Everyone played loose. Didn't seem like there was any tension or pressure on the team as a whole. Shots were falling as a result. Sometimes it truly is addition by subtraction. The scoring by Gill even seemed to take the burden to score off Rozier. UL may have just played their most complete game of the season.

I posted this OP after the FSU game but this still applies. Beating the 2nd ranked team after losing a starter and after the distractions is huge.

Very proud of our guys.

Gill played 10 minutes, took 1 shot and missed. He scored 0 points against Virginia.

You just can't make this stuff up.

The reason the tension was gone was due to Pitino finally scrapping the switching zone defense. This team was too young and just never could grasp the details of how to play it. He went back to playing a straight up 2-3 zone when they played zone, and a man to man defense which they're comfortable playing.

On offense, Snider is a pure point guard who does his best to look for the open man first. He doesn't look to shoot unless he has to take the shot. For that reason, the off the ball cuts and movements are better because the players moving know now that they might just be rewarded for their efforts. Jones was selfish and played for himself IMO. I said that a long time before he ever got the boot. The addition by subtraction is two fold. Jones is gone and so is the confusing switching zone defense. This team will play better because of both those things.

Well at least that makes more sense now. Thanks for clearing that up. I don't like that poster so I let my personal feelings get in the way of him actually being cordial at that time. His true colors came out though so he is what he is. A bait flaming troll.
