...I'd attribute it to his injury were it not for the fact that he's been at LPT four years and the story hasn't changed.

On a related subject, it appears that LPT may have to rely on Pitino Lite's coaching tonite. Hope the guy who tells him when to call timeouts is till on the bench.

Ironic how they see nothing wrong with ISU shooting 10 free throws at Rupp but bitching about the calls tonight.

I actually feel a little bad for him. He was a can't miss one and done who missed and has regressed as a player. His injury was too severe for him to overcome I guess OR he was all hype and no substance in the first place.

Eventually people are going to figure out there are different levels of talent each year without over analyzing things. Just because a player in the 2000whatever class is ranked in the top 10 does not mean his level of talent is equal to the same number ranked player in a different 2000whatever class. It's odd how many people can't understand that.

All I ever saw watching Poythress was an athlete - not a skilled basketball player. He can't dribble, pass, shoot, or even securely handle the ball. Four years at UK and he can't even develop the most rudimentary basic skills. Yeah, that's the school recruits need to fall all over themselves to go to.

He still gets lost on defense as well. His lack of blocking out the only available player on the Arkansas put-back basket that beat UK last season should exist as a classic still life photo of his progress. 4 years and the poor guy actually has gotten worse at the game. He should sue Calipari.
