Player of the Year: Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville*

Right now on Bovada, Lamar is still the heavy favorite to win the Heisman. Of course things can and do change weekly.

Right now Lamar is between 3-5 and 1-2 odds with his closest challenger in Deshaun Watson being between 7-2 and 4-1. That's a big gap. With Lamar you have to bet $190 just to make $100 if he wins and if you bet $100 on Deshaun you stand to make $375.

Betting baseball is the same way. But as I used to say about betting favorites, betting $190 to win $100 is a bad bet, even if you win. jmho

Unfortunately the point here and also carried through other threads is that Clemson and watson, if they win the division will have more
opportunities to play in bigger games. Voters seem to give more weight in those type of games. Hope it doesn't work out like that.

Yay, we win the mid season, uh trophy? Wait, there's no trophy? Nobody will remember this achievement without a trophy. Oh well. Good job anyway.

True that if Clemson wins the Atlantic they get a marquee showcase game for Watson in the ACC Championship game not to mention they still have a prime time matchup with Florida St but if Louisville keeps winning and Lamar keeps playing well I like his chances.

Also, his performance against Houston and Greg Ward Jr needs to be a good one.
