Play Calling

While I don't like the Bobby 1.0 and 2.0 comparison, the biggest difference, this go around is he has went away from leaning on the run game. This team is built, especially with Wilson and D. Williams healthy, to pound teams with the run and then go over the top. This is the closest team personnel wise to those teams.

The offensive line with Summers is going to only get better.
Reggie is figuring it out as well, I love the speed he is hitting the hole now. He isn't a make you miss kind of back but he can hit a seem an go the distance. He almost broke another 60 yarder yesterday.
Wilson is legit, unfortuante he got hurt, good feet, balance and power.
D. Williams looked very good.
M. Williams looked good as well just didn't lean on him.
Then you add in Lamar, who I think is a NFL running back.
That is a unreal combination of speed and power.

I hope he has the same game plan next week. Pound the ball and physically imposed your will on their defense. This is also the best way to protect the defense. This also the reason I think Pass is going to very good in this system.

We have a very young team and are playing a lot of redshirt and true freshmen. This team has a lot of upside and with some healthy running backs it can only get better. I agree that Pass is probably more of a Petrino type QB and we may see more BP 1.0

Every top team is playing true freshman. This excuse doesn’t wash. Alabama is playing 7.

This was the closest game plan to CBP1 I've seen in two years.

It was no accident LJ got well over 100 yds. They had they'er soon-to-be NFL Safety shadowing him, so when he did hand off, there was one less defender in position to make the play.

So with that to worry about, it gave LJ that small opening, and split second hesitation.

Thats all he needs.

not to mention opening passing lanes when you have multiple running options.

If you just look at the stats between BC and FSU, we ran for the same amount of yardage and almost the same amount of attempts. The difference? LJ threw 18 more times and completed only 6 more passes against BC than FSU. I think we need to sacrifice the deep balls for shorter, quicker type passes. Also the average pass was 8.5 yds per pass for BC compared to 7.4 for FSU.
