and future opponents.

Waited to post this rant this AM. Here goes my 2 cents....feel free to add yours:

A jet sweep or two with a speed back,

A screen pass anytime in the game but especially early when it is clear the opponent is blitzing a lot,

A draw play or too, (didn't we used to use misdirection type draws?) etc.,

Swing passes to the flat(s),

A trick play or two using Reggie Bonnafon or someone, Geez

More plays with the QB under center utilizing fakes and play action,

And, don't run the ball out of the end zone on opening kick offs, or any kick offs for that matter, and use a faster return man not prone to fumbling.

I am sure that the rest of you can add your pet peeve to this list as I have likely missed areas of your concern(s) too. Please chime in.

All Hail U of L! Go Cards! Beat Kentucky!

I think they tried to throw a couple of screens but Oliver kept batting the ball down. That young man is a special player.

I miss the ballsy Petrino that was here before. The one that ran the fake punt in his own territory against WVU. The one that you never knew what was coming on the next play.

I honestly think his (brief) stint in the NFL then his time in the SEC made him lose contact with the ballsy Bobby and he became conventional Bobby.

Coach Bobby Petrino will have his team ready for the kitty kats.

He is unbelievable to be sure but those passes that he batted down were headed 5-7 yds downfield. I don't remember a single screen being attempted – either to a running back or, wide receiver. No slants either.

Puzzling play calling in the face of that pressure to be sure.

It's as if he knew our plays.Seriously though,I think our young qb will be even better when he's not so easily read.Just a little more misdirection to keep em honest.

Rocky, I am more concerned with the team stopping them selfs with fumbles, false starts and other penalties. No way will the sec pretender stop Jackson and the Cards.

A total blowout and embarrassment by us won't matter to UK fans because they won't care because they're going a small small bowl game while we are going to the Orange Bowl. (like I still think we will)

Win the coin toss, defer to the 2nd half, stop u k on their opening drive, fair catch the punt, not be playing from behind less than 2 minutes into the game. This would be a great start for a change.
I like everything except fair catching the punt. Alexander is one of our best weapons. Why he has suddenly become timid returning punts is odd.

He fumbled a couple during the season. FSU game showed what he's capable of, but like the rest of the team, he's had some fumble issues.

No doubt and that's probably the extent of it. I honestly wondered if he has been extra cautious to avoid getting hurt as we seem thin at CB at the moment. In either case, it might be time to give Samuel a chance.

Agreed with giving Samuel a chance. I like the way Seth Dawkins is playing. Not sure if he has breakaway speed but the kid seems to make plays when we need them.

I'm sure Dawkins is fast - possibly even has break away speed but, what makes him a poor choice to be a KR would be even more exacerbated at PR. He doesn't appear to be super quick or be able to change directions quickly. If you can make guys miss - you shouldn't be running back punts IMO.
