Tonight UofL hosted an appreciation event for fans that had perfect attendance at men’s home games. A great event that was a nice gesture to some committed fans. The efforts at fan engagement are great!

Yes, a really cool event for the loyal fans. Kudos to Tyra and Coach Mack, and the players. First time in a long time I have felt like more than just $$ from the perspective of the athletic department. The fan appreciation gesture was much appreciated.

This is the culture we deserve to have at UofL. I can once again boast I'm a UofL fan.

Go CARDS!!!

BS, the loyal fan is the one who buys season tickets knowing that he will have to miss some because of his/her job.

I have never been ashamed to be a U of L fan even when bad things were happening. For the most part, those were done by individuals either misguided or misunderstood. And no I’m not wanting responses or assumptions of what I think those were.

I didn't think attendance was much an issue at games before the last couple years. I'll give "Vince" credit for recognizing a need that didn't exist before he appeared on the scene...

Umm, the problem was with the (player) attendance at the stripper parties and, the (Asst. coach) attendance at the adidas executive fundraiser. People could rightfully assign blame to TJ (I don’t) but, I’m pretty sure those events predated Tyra.

Only a fool, or a fool with an agenda, could possibly assign any blame from the fallout from those events to Tyra.

Which are you?

Syracuse got hit with probation at the end of 2015 and then saw an immediate drop in attendance in 2016 that got worse in 2017 and 2018. They hired a new AD in 2016. Wonder if they had a “fan” that blamed the new AD?

Has very little to do with strippers. Our attendance didn't fall precipitously until Jurich and Pitino were canned.

If anyone wants, I'll trot out my chart again. Please ask me to.

I'll also throw financials in as a freebie...

Yay, another look at a frivolous chart that isn’t even constructed correctly because homie is inept lol.

Had a tremendous amount to do with strippers and the adidas scandal that came right on it’s heels which - if you weren’t scoring at home - had everything to do with Pitino (and unfortunately TJ) being canned. That negligence by those in charge led to the fan base being unhappy and the drop in attendance. But, you knew that because it’s only been explained a billion times and is accepted common knowledge.

Mack putting our program back on the map with integrity instead of corruption from Pitino and Jurich! I’m a happy camper, but a “few” of you crybabies are still stuck in the past.

Thanks for proving (my) the point that scandal fatigue caused by the Pitino regime negatively affected attendance.

Totally agree. The UofL fans will return as CCM’s success increases. And, this of course, is without scandal. The same holds true for football and CSS. It’s easy to be negative and pessimistic in the immediate time but it’s even more difficult to see a bright future because we don’t really know what is coming down the path. All we can do is hope for the best and that is what I choose to do.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!
