Heard through the grapevine that Puma has been very uneven in fall camp. Last year he had some bad habits with his mechanics that caused some of his passes to sail. Still a work in progress. Of all the many questions with Petrino’s effort as a coach, you would’ve thought he could’ve cured Pass’ mechanical deficiencies.

Coach said that they chart every pass in practice and that on many days Pass was at 73 or 74 % completion percentage, and there were a few days where he was under 60%. But as a hole he has taken great strides and come a long way.

Some on here think that Little Nick was a great QB coach- he “coached” Lamar to the Heisman, didn’t he? If Jawon Pass has mechanical difficulties, it must be because he just didn’t take Nicks coaching. Rrrrriiiiiight.

I’m glad someone pointed this out because I get uncomfortable seeing always so tight up high finding his target.

It might end up being ok with him making the right reads but it oozes a lack of confidence IMO. I’d give anything to see this young man gain his confidence and succeed. He seems like he is not able to be himself.
