To all my fellow Cards fans, my friends and especially my fellow Veterans out there....have a wonderful, peaceful, and joyful Thanksgiving. We have all earned it! The reason for the season is gratitude.

My list of what I am grateful for this year is: Thank God I am still alive after 2 heart procedures, a dreadful Colonoscopy Prep all day on Halloween Day and procedure that discovered some polyps that came back as tubular adenomas, and outpatient surgery to have both my great toe nails removed and one next to my R great toe. Total of 3. Legalized torture if you have ever had that done to you! ;) Still recovering from that.

I have had the best time this year following and rooting on this awesome Cardinal FB team to help distract me from health concerns.. Thank God for CJB and his top shelf staff and all the dedicated hard working players...now go and beat UK this Saturday and then FSU to take the ship and let the chips fall where they may IRT the CFP..

I am grateful for my family most of all may wife and daughter. And of note, for my son who asked me back in January what I wanted for my 70th birthday this year. I told him I wanted him and I to go to the Cards/ND FB game. And we made it happen with the help of Guardman and a few others....it was the first time my son and I attended a Cardinal game in person...we even met Senator Mitch McConnell at the game behind our seats. Wow!

My son lives in Albq, NM and I reside in O'Fallon Illinois. He flew into St Louis and we drove to Louisville the Friday before the game. We had a fabulous 4 hour uninterrupted Father/Son discussion about life and how goes it during our 4.5 hour drive to Louisville. Great road trip made even better when the Cards stomped the Irish into the dirt. Son was impressed and glad to watch a new chapter in UofL history. Thankful for that.

So thankful for that time with my son and his experiencing the Cardinals in person. Also, a sincere TY to all those on this board that we were able to tailgate with and experience that Ky hospitality before the game. You all know who you are and please accept my and my sons hardy TY for that. My son loved it and so did I. Jaeger bombs rule!

Back to things to be grateful for this year and Thanksgiving. I am grateful for my extended Cardinal family, my friends and many of the folks here on this board on almost a daily basis. I have heard it said that what a man spends his time and money on defines him. Well I am a Cardinal fan through and through.

How about you guys sound off about what your are thankful for this year on Turkey Day? I'll listen. I know I am rambling on and likely shared TMI about me so I will close for now with this one last comment: Go Cards, let's kick some Puddy Cats ass!!!
