They've (finally) used some of the ideas that I've been suggesting for many years. But then added a Rube Goldberg twist to make it more complicated than necessary. All of which would be okay b/c it is far better than what has long been in place. The main problem that I see is using "digital passes" for the mass of parking in these lots -- that is a horrible idea sure to cause forseeable complications. (Note that Bronze and Platinum still get the traditional paper passes). And it's also entirely too dependent on the competency of the parking personnel, which does not need further comment. KISS (keep it simple stupid) is a concept that far too often eludes the Athletic Department.
