Hilarious. Slapd€ck fans on their message board are screaming that ND is overrated. Undefeated regular season lost in semi final game to eventual champ Clemson top 5 recruiting class and they ate overrated. Makes sense.

ND can obviously play better but very few teams play their best game week 1. UofL has played very hard tonight, and doesn't look like the same team from last year.

Who cares what they think? The first thing to do after a good effort by Cards should not be to go to their forums and see what they think.

That's what Rivals do. Every single game they play we talk about how they cheated, got lucky, or the team they beat was not that good. Go read the sUcKs/Toledo game thread on here and we are doing the same thing.

How in the world can uahkay fans even discuss football. They are pathetic. I wish we had been playing them last night because if you take both first games we would have won going away. They are idiots.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

Kentucky has one of if not the easiest P5 schedule in college football, so they will do what they can to diminish our schedule. Our team would go bowling with their schedule.

Big difference between ND and Toledo you can’t even compare the 2 games. We looked better in our loss to ND than they looked in their victory to Toledo.

ND is loaded with talent. No, they didn't play outstanding, but how many teams do in their first game of the year? They have the size, the strength, and the depth to make the playoff 4 again this year.

I was proud of how the Cards hung with them but eventually their superior talent and depth took over. No shame in that. One day with coach SS, the Cards will be the team with the size, the strength, and the depth that we saw last night from ND.

Go CARDS!!!

Hey guys. I thought you guys looked head and shoulders better than last year. I love the hire and think Coach Satterfield is going to do a tremendous job for you, I don’t think it’s going to take as long as a lot of people think either. I honestly was happy seeing the cards play with heart and give everything they had. They never gave up on any play and that’s what it takes. I was proud actually to see the game and how hard they played.

I am a Ky fan and I know we have a few knuckleheads for fans, but really, the most of us like U of L and want you guys to have a great program. Don’t judge all of us because a few act like that. I know what it means to just want to see effort, and those kids in red showed me a lot last night.

Anyway thanks, I wish you all the best of luck. It’s going to take a little time to get some big depth, but you’ve got the right man for the job and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a bowl game this year. I’ll tell you what, They sure are a fun team to watch and play with fire. I really enjoyed watching them.

Brian Kelly said in his presser today that ND played a very well coached, motivated, talented team. He said playing them (UL) in that environment is a lot tougher than playing a FCS or G5 team at home.

He had nothing but compliments for UL & Satterfield.

On a side note, haters are always going to call ND overrated, that’s their MO.

Ky fans feel like they can call anyone in any sport “overrated”. However, they squeal like pigs (I know, ironic) if you ever say one of Man Boobs Cal’s players or teams are overrated. A Ky fan critiquing ND football is beyond absurd.

Yeah ND looked just fine for a 1st game on the road. Basically their WRs caught everything. Their RBs were solid. Their O line wasn't great in pass protection but they did open some massive holes on the ground. And their front 4 looked very good. They also had some new guys playing. Their QB could play better but showed toughness.
