If you were aware that Elly de la Cruz was playing for the Louisville Bats, I hope you got a chance to see him play, because he got called up to the show today! I'm baseball junkie and attend Bats game as well as the Redbirds back in my younger days and I have not seen a talent like this guy. I was fortunate to get to see him play a couple of games and he was really impressive. The only other Redbirds/Bats guys that looked the part like him were Vince Coleman, Willie McGee, Joey Votto, and Jay Bruce. Elly is better than all of these guys. He's 6'-5" and plays short stop.
