If you're a person of faith, I ask that you pray for the family of Detective Deidre Mengedoht, the LMPD officer who was killed in a horrific auto accident yesterday while performing her duties. She grew up in my church and went to Eastern HS. She leaves an 8yr old son, Preston who attends an Oldham Cnty School. The quotes in the news from Chief Conrad and other officers indicate she was extremely professional and had made great accomplishments in her 7.5 yrs on the force. She is the third LMPD officer to die in the line of duty since the merger of the force in 2003.
